2008 in Review

2008 - The year that was... something...2008 – it starts with a 2, ends with an 8, and has 2 zeroes in the middle. It’s approximately 2010 – 2015 years since Jesus born, and it’s a leap year.

2008 marked the loss of Heath Ledger, Edmund Hillary, Paul Newman, Michael Crichton, Alexy II, and many other notable people.

It also marked the birth of a whole lot of people who I haven’t heard of, but probably will in a few decades.

2008 was the last year of Bush’s reign (yay!), and the year America welcomed Barack Obama as President (well, January 20th, but he was elected in 2008).

This little blog was given birth to this year, in late September, to a proud parent (me). I guess you could call WordPress its mother, but thinking of it like that is quite disturbing. It started off with 3 hits in September (I said it was late), then 400 in October, down a little in November (395), then shot up to 995 in December. Yay!

That’s a really quick glance at 2008, and I haven’t included a lot of the significant events (Beijing Olympics, conflicts, etc.), but I don’t want to tire anyone 😀

Happy New Year!
