Reverse Speech – hceepS esreveR

Crawling through the giant maze of knowledge that is Wikipedia, I came across some interesting articles on ‘reverse speech’. It’s one of those mysterious theories that really made me laugh (well, they all make me laugh).

It works like this: in any conversation, the person speaking says a number of sentences which we hear loud and clear. Interwoven into this, however, is a related sentence that can only be heard backwards. Our subconscious can hear this, adding a deeper level to the conversation.

See why I laughed? 😆 There are some strange examples though: Neil Armstrong’s famous moonwalk speech, and the JFK assassination are among them.

I believe this phenomenon is simply our minds just interpreting gibberish as anything that makes sense. What do you think?
