As the world is welcoming 2009, a number of electronic devices have begun to fail, most notably the Microsoft Zune.

Technology experts believe that the Y2K bug has been hibernating, and has finally come out 9 years late, after ‘partying too hard’ back in 1999. Since these suggestions were made public, a number of people have reported partying with the bug 10 years ago. Ima Drunkard, of Amsterdam, said: “I remember Mr. Y2K! He was a real party animal, and he had a cool name. I liked him. He was cool.” She then collapsed and started laughing at my shoes.

Recent reports state that the Y2K bug has been sighted on the streets of Redmond, Washington, carrying Steve Ballmer and using him as a human shield.

Microsoft employees are working overtime in order to take down the bug, by throwing Windows ME discs – previously used as coffee coasters – at the rampaging bug.
